U.S. Military: "Jesus is coming back armed"

U.S. Lt. Gen. William 'Jerry' Boykin told a conference that everyone should be made with an AR-15 rifle because "that's what Jesus would have done."

"The Lord is a warrior and chapter 19 [the book] of Revelation says that when [Jesus] again, how will? Like a warrior. As a powerful warrior who leads a powerful army and loins of a horse in a dress bloodstained white. And now I think the sword will take when returning an AR-15, "said Boykin as recorded by 'The Independent'.

The words of the Bible to which he referred -"I have not come to bring peace but to bring a sword" - is widely regarded as one of the most controversial statements of Jesus. But scholars believe that the holy book should not misunderstand or take it out of context, it is a metaphor.

"I know, everyone says that's a metaphor. There it is! And today the sword is an AR-15, so if you do not have one, go get it. Was supposed to have one.'s Bible "insisted the soldier.

The AR-15, far from being a sword, a gun, and experts warn that we must be alert to the impact that these statements may have broader Christian community in U.S.
